Bub and Bailey

Bubby and Bailey are Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Bubby's previous owner put him on craigslist when he was two years old. He has been with us since March 29, 2011. We use this date as his birthday since we don't know the actual date. Bailey was born February 19, 2013.

  1. biggiethedachshund said: Did something happen to his left paw??? It looks kinda red but I could be mistaken!

I’ve checked several times because it has worried me, but it seems to just be darker colored fur and the pinkness of the skin making it look like that.  Bub’s paws are like that too and you can only see it when the pads are spread apart (like in that picture where Bailey had her toes pressed into the ground). Neither of them act like their paws bother them.

Bailey’s pants get a little wavy when they’re wet.

Bub didn’t get too dirty. You can see a small amount of dirt on his nose though. He refused to even look at the camera.

Bailey went out and got all wet and dirty.
Interesting sidenote: My phone thought Bailey was a person in the first picture and wanted me to tag her face.

Bub and Bailey’s vet had a corgi named Water (named when his son was 2 years old). Today when Bailey went for her shots the vet’s son was there and said, “She looks just like Water!” After that he got quiet and looked very sad. His mom then explained that Water had recently met an untimely death. I never met Water, but I would hear about her when we made trips to the vet. Her personality seemed to be very much like Bailey’s. I know she’s missed terribly by her family. RIP Water.

Bub was hiding in the jungle that is the back corner of our yard.

Bailey was scared when we first arrived and wouldn’t leave my side. She finally made friends with two cardigans and followed them around. The first picture is from the cardis’ mom. My camera died, the extra battery hadn’t been charged and my phone ran out of space. I was not prepared.

Here are a few pictures from our meetup! It went really well. I think we had close to 30 corgis.
