Bub and Bailey

Bubby and Bailey are Pembroke Welsh Corgis. Bubby's previous owner put him on craigslist when he was two years old. He has been with us since March 29, 2011. We use this date as his birthday since we don't know the actual date. Bailey was born February 19, 2013.

Bubby  Bailey   Ask Bub and Bailey a question.

Bub and Bailey’s vet had a corgi named Water (named when his son was 2 years old). Today when Bailey went for her shots the vet’s son was there and said, “She looks just like Water!” After that he got quiet and looked very sad. His mom then explained that Water had recently met an untimely death. I never met Water, but I would hear about her when we made trips to the vet. Her personality seemed to be very much like Bailey’s. I know she’s missed terribly by her family. RIP Water.

Bub was hiding in the jungle that is the back corner of our yard.

Bailey was scared when we first arrived and wouldn’t leave my side. She finally made friends with two cardigans and followed them around. The first picture is from the cardis’ mom. My camera died, the extra battery hadn’t been charged and my phone ran out of space. I was not prepared.

Here are a few pictures from our meetup! It went really well. I think we had close to 30 corgis.

This is about to be a weird post.
This has come up a couple times between Corgi Ladies with Females. I thought that all girls peed like Emma - which I’ve dubbed the “tiniest of leg lifts”. She can’t quite pee like a boy, but she makes a really solid attempt at it.
Apparently this is not standard for all the Females. So far, I’ve asked and Ookii and Curry do it. So just for the sake of my own curiosity - who out there has a Female who does this as well?

One of JP’s girlfriends (Daisy) lifts her leg to pee.
On a similar note, there was this one time where JP got tangled in his leash, and before we could fix it, he lifted his leg to pee. But the leash was wrapped around him in a way that made it difficult for him to lift his leg, so halfway through peeing he gave up and squated. His face was a mixture of confusion and sorrow.

My pitt will sits lift her leg. And she definitely marks over the male corgi pee sites. Right JP!

Fae squats but Sumiko always did the leg lift.

Bailey doesn’t lift her leg every time, but she does occasionally.

I checked on the weather and there was a corgi!

How is that comfortable? She laid like this for a few minutes.

I think we have around 20 corgis and a Swedish Vallhund coming so far! That’s more than I was expecting and we still have 25 days to go!
